O UFC acaba de confirmar o TUF americano que terá as equipes American Top Team e Blackzilians
UFC officials today announced the details for “The Ultimate Fighter 21,” which will use a gym vs. gym format with 16 notable cast members and a $500,000 grand prize.
The long-running reality/competition show, which debuts April 22 at 10 p.m. ET (7 p.m. PT) on FOX Sports 1, features an American Top Team vs. Blackzilians format, and sixteen welterweights will compete in the single-elimination tournament.
The winning team earns the first “TUF” team trophy and $500,000.
Dan Lambert heads the ATT team, and rival Glenn Robinson heads the Blackzilians club. The series prominently features the rivalry between the two camps, which developed in 2011 after a band of ATT fighters defected and started their own camp with Robinson. The two gyms are located just 20 minutes apart in South Florida, where the show is being filmed.
According to today’s announcement, though the fighters will live together, they’ll continue to train separately at their home gyms. However, the fights won’t take place at a neutral site, and instead, bouts will take place at one of the two gyms. Additionally, matchups won’t be revealed until weigh-ins, when each fighter will learn who his opponent is.
The show concludes with the TUF 21 Finale and the tournament conclusion this summer, though a date hasn’t been finalized.
