Sou leigo também no assunto, mas acredito que a quantidade de jogos se aplica da mesma forma que uma vez ouvi um comentarista da NBA, que devido aos altos salários, quanto mais jogos, mais arrecadação. Os estádios estão sempre lotados, imagina quanto não movimenta cada partida.Tarantino escreveu: Muito cansativo, cada time faz 162 jogos, sendo 30 times. Não sei o motivo para tantos jogos, mas como leigo e já prevendo um calendário cheio, acho que cada time podia jogar 3 vezes contra o mesmo time, sendo assim, 87 jogos. E ao invés de classificarem só 4 times por divisão, tinha que classificar 8 times

A MLB paga em média o dobro da NFL e 500k a mais que a NBA.

Esporte universitário lá é muito forte.
Fora os eventos que tem por lá (não sei, se o pessoal considera "esporte" em si) como o XGames , um de motocross com manobra etc.
